Code of Ethics

Your journey is essential; there is no cookie-cutter solution to college acceptance. Our team will endeavor to discover where you have been, where you are heading, and how to navigate your future by giving meaningful advice and feedback. We have chosen a holistic approach to this process. We will pinpoint where you stand out the most and identify areas of weakness so you can unlock your full potential in your college career. Our program is designed to help you obtain acceptance and unlock the tools you will need for the rigors of post-secondary education.

Code of Ethics

1. The intrests of students and families are the priority. We do not promote ourselves by advising you to attend certain schools to boost our status or success.

2. A coach is not a substitute for you doing your own work, just as a tutor is no substitute for your attendance in school. A coach is a supplement to the process your school has set in place. If you are still in high school, having a coach is not a replacement for the communication base of your school’s own counseling department.

3. We respect the confidentiality of the students we coach. We do not share your information with third parties (unless you are a minor and your parents or guardians are involved in the working relationship).

4. Our coaches will tell you the truth. Telling you what you want to hear might be encouraging, but it may not be helping the process. Your transcript, and your accomplishments will set the tone for how we can help you move forward in the college process.

5. If your situation is outside of our expertise we will refer you to someone who is more suited to help you.

6. Coaching with a holistic approach is all about looking at the larger outcome of your college journey. We will consider your life experiences, degree plan, aptitudes, and future goals.

7. Coaching with integrity is our cornerstone. Your work is your work. Your writing must be in your own voice, and express your true experinces. Your application must be a true reflection of who you are and your true accomplishments. Coach to College will help you brainstorm, process, edit, and support you in your work. However, we will not do it for you, nor will we condone a third party or the use of AI technology. Our desire is for you to feel the accomplishment of submitting your best original work to colleges and univeristies.

Lindsay Hatch, Co-Founder

As a public school teacher, I have been able to help students navigate their journey to college for over twenty years. Over the past decade, I have worked with over 400 high school seniors to establish a vision, create a plan, and execute each step toward college application and acceptance. College readiness takes time, intentionality, accountability, and someone who can guide the way. My goal is to coach students and families so they have a clear direction, can make confident decisions, and feel support while their student prepares for post-secondary education.

I have a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Lee University in Cleveland, TN, where I played college soccer.  I hold a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University.  I began my career in 2001 teaching/coaching in private school, and have had the pleasure of teaching/coaching in public schools for the last 16 years. I reside in Dallas, TX, with my husband of 12 years and 2 great-kids.

Dora Flores, Co-Founder

Graduate of Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in History Education. 10th year in education as a High School Social Studies and Career and college readiness teacher.

I am passionate about helping students and families navigate through the college admission process.

There is nothing more exciting than a dream fulfilled! It has been my pleasure to help students find their passion and dream big about their future. Every student needs the confidence to move out of their comfort zone and into the uncharted waters of the unknown. With 10 years of education experience, I have found that kids will challenge themselves if they have access to constant encouragement and someone to light the way.

I am a first-generation graduate of Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in History Education.  I am bilingual and an advanced placement instructor. I am a 12-year member of a college readiness site team and the current coordinator of one of the high school college readiness programs in CFBISD.
